IMIA June Updates
The IMIA submitted a response to CP-153 on the Individual Accountability Framework this week. Thank you to everyone that contributed to the response and we look forward to continuing engagement with the Central Bank during the consultation period.
The June Member meeting took place earlier this week and a member firm gave a valuable presentation on their experience working to enhance their Risk Framework.
The Management Company Working Group met to discuss the difference in their business models and authorisations- one of the challenges the MiFID Industry faces is the variety of firms that fall under the MiFID umbrella. Peer interaction offers a valuable opportunity to learn more about the industry.
A workshop session will take place next Tuesday at 10am to discuss where firms are on their Operational Resilience journey in advance of the December deadline.
The IMIA attended the Risk Management and Capacity Building Working Groups of the Central Bank’s Climate Forum this month and looks forward to contributing over the coming months.
The IMIA is engaging with the Central Bank of Ireland following the recent publication of the Retail Investment Strategy and strongly encourages member firms with retail clients to join the Consumer Protection Working Group.
